Hey everyone, i'm going to write a review on a face primer by Nars. I have actually realised how much i have probably spent on Nars products this month and it makes me feel a bit sick inside to be honest, i just can't get enough of Nars at the moment and i think it's because i have never been disappointed with their products! I guess i just keep coming back for more! (kiss the magic card and hope!)
OK so, this primer was £24 from Selfridges, the reason i decided to buy one was actually because i was kindly given a little bag of skincare goodies in tester form when i bought my illuminators and included was a sample of this primer.
Now, i've had a bit of an issue with primers as there has obviously been a huge amount of fuss about them this year, but to be honest i was thinking what is actually so good about them? I had previously tried the prime time face primer by Bare Minerals (as i swear i was obsessed at one point, that tends to happen as you can see from my posts i appear to have switched to Nars), but i was like i don't get it, it's not working for me. However, i tried this one and i was actually like, wow! That might sound cheesy but it is the genuine truth. When i put this product on my face i could instantly see a glow, after i applied my makeup i was so impressed with the results; my face was smoother and more glowing, i felt radiant and gorgeous (which honestly never happens!).
To top it off even my boyfriend commented and told me how my face looked different, had i done different makeup etc which he never does and he even said when i asked him why that my makeup looks smoother, now i call that a result!!
Although this primer is at the high end of the price range, i honestly think it is worth it! A little goes a long way, i think it will last ages.
This is the product description from Nars:
"Multi-Protect Primer SPF 30/PA+++ harnesses the benefits of anti-oxidants, anti-stress and anti-pollution skincare ingredients to protect, soothe and balance the skin. Ultra light and creamy to the touch, it keeps all skin types in balance by promoting hydration and absorbing oil where needed. Mineral powders blur fine lines and wrinkles, allowing for a smooth, even makeup application. This multi-tasking primer works with all skin types to protect and prime the skin for a makeup-ready finish. * Powerful anti-oxidants shea butter and the Tibetan urnula flower protect against free radicals and the irritation caused by environmental pollutants * Indian frankincense, known for its potent anti-irritant benefits, balances reactive skin and creates a more even tone * Oil free, alcohol free, paraben free, synthetic-fragrance free * Dermatologist tested. Non-comedogenic."
I don't necessarily understand all that, i just know that i am impressed with the results and if it is good for my skin too, that's fab!
I have previously only tried the bare minerals primer and also one by collection 2000, but i am sure there are some lovely ones out there, i've heard a lot about face primers by Smashbox but never tried one. Have you?
Thankyou for reading and i hope you liked my post.
xoxo
