Hi everyone, Happy Monday to you all i hope you have had a lovely weekend!
No sign of snow for me here.. what about you?
This review is of one of the ever popular Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks in shade 22. I love the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks because they are so creamy on the lips and they do have great staying power PLUS they are a great budget buy! Hooray!
This lipstick was £5.49 from Boots!
What do you think? Normally i find red lipsticks a right nightmare to put on, but this one was fab and i am loving it! After a few hours i noticed the colour had faded a little in the centre so a reapplication was needed, however i forgot to put my Lipcote (wonder product!) on, it definitely would have fared better with that!
Thankyou so much for reading this post,
XOXO

My Week in Pictures #4
The Revision Post
Hello gorgeous readers,
This is a post about revision.. i can hear you switching off already... but as a Masters student i like to think i know a thing or too about revision. Therefore, i decided to write this post in order to help others as much as possible with whatever it is they are revising for, GCSE's, A-Levels, Uni exams, whatever, we all know how horrific exams are and this is why i created this post.
Last week was a particularly horrific week for myself, i had a killer 3 hour exam and a presentation, but i got through it, somehow! I'm only almost a third through with a lot of work ahead, but the important thing is that i'm getting through these things.
Ever since my GCSE's i have felt pressure. Severe pressure, which felt so heavy at times it was like i couldn't breathe. I had about 11 or 12 exams i think some 3 hours long and the whole thing was so horrific and i couldn't cope with the stress. I stressed so much i got alopecia and developed an anxiety disorder as a result that is still with me today. I'm not trying to scare you, i just want you to know how important it is that you stay as chilled as you possibly can!
It's crucial to stay healthy during these stressful times and i feel your pain but you will get through this!
So, here are some revision Do's and Don'ts i have created. I find that doing these things really help me and i hope you find them helpful too.
- Get plenty of sleep the night before an exam, this really is so important because you will need your energy and brainpower for the exam. What i mean is, don't pull an all nighter! it really isn't worth it and you don't need to as long as you prepare ahead!
- Prepare for your exam with plenty of time ahead.
This sounds like the most stupidly obvious thing to say, but seriously time really does go, that's why this is so important. You have to account for the expected and the unexpected in your timeframe, e.g you might be offered an opportunity you really don't want to miss so you go out and have a great time, but then that exam is even closer.
I don't mean don't have fun in your life i just mean account several days before the exam when you might be busy doing stuff.
- Account for hangover days. If you're going out, the day after is probably a write off. Trying to read the symbolism in Jane Eyre will be seriously hampered by those vodka shots, so you might aswell forget this day!
- When revising, i find burning a candle helps me relax. Nothing too overpowering otherwise you might feel like a bomb has gone off in your head, but non-scented or something with a subtle scent will do.
- Take regular breaks, every hour or so. Just go and make a drink or have a little snack and some fresh air. Your eyes will appreciate it and so will your brain.
- Do those practice q's. Yes they're a ballache. But it is so worth it. If there are past papers, do every question is my advice. Seriously! In my second year i had skipped one past paper out of 5, turned the page over and died when the q came up.
- Revise whatever way works best for you. If you don't know what works best for you, find out. Some people love mindmaps, some watch videos, some just write and write, some have to memorise every bit, i have to make notes. Lots and lots of notes which i then read about a thousand times!
- Take a bath when your eyes get tired and time is of the essence. Seriously, a quick bath and you will feel relaxed and rested enough to carry on. This has worked for me when i have been zombie like and it does give you an extra boost.
- Even try to diet. Seriously, in my second and third year i tried to diet during exam times and it just doesn't work. You are going to be so stressed and anxious about the exams you really don't need to punish yourself further with strict eating regulations.
I fully admit and embrace that during revision i am going to binge on chocolate snacks, cake and biscuits. In my shared house in Lancaster we would have communal revision breaks and sit in the living room and eat cake and drink tea. It helps and it feels bloody good at the time.
- Shut yourself off from the world to the extreme. It's important to make time for breaks from revision. Seeing your friends will make you happy and this is important!
- Burn the candle at both ends. It will come to a point where you probably won't be able to go out every weekend during exams, if you do you might regret it but unless you're Einstein you may have to compromise.
- Let it all get too much. The stress and worry caused by exams can come out in your body in the form of spots, weight gain and eczema. This is ok. You don't need to panic. Soon this will be over and you will start feeling much better. If you feel so stressed you can't cope, talk to a member of staff. Most schools and Universities have people in place to help you with this. Don't be alone!
- Panic. As much as it sucks, what will be will be. You are going to be okay and as long as you prepare you are going to be just fine. Don't worry!
I really hope at least some of these are helpful. You are going to be fine, you will get through this and you will forget about all of your worries when this is over.
This is going to sound so bizarre, but i try and make myself look forward to exams and i now see them as a challenge to do my best. Just remember that you are not alone in your stress, everybody feels it though they might now show it!
Remember - You are fabulous!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post.

Barry M Nail Polish Review - 355 Gold Mine Glitter
Hi guys! I hope you're all having a loooovely weekend!
I don't know about you but for me it is going far too fast! Not good! Why does time always go so fast when you're relaxing and chilling!
What have you all been up to? Last night i watched the Dark Knight Rises, i have been putting this film off for so long and i don't even know why! I think the length put me off (so stupid, i know) but sometimes i just have to really be in the mood to watch a movie you know! Well what can i say, it is literally the best movie i think i have EVER seen! Have you seen it?
This could turn into a post all about Batman but i won't go on! In relation to my viewing of the Dark Knight Rises last night i decided to review a dark nail polish i got recently. It's a black polish with gold glitter and it's number 355 by Barry M called Gold Mine Glitter!
So obviously this isn't a Spring polish as i am obviously still in party mode! But i think this is a lovely polish, i've never been brave enough to just go for a statement black and a girl can never have enough glitter, therefore this is a perfect collaboration of both!
The formula applies really well and two coats is perfect coverage, as usual. Although i think this may chip more than obviously your higher end brands, OPI, Nails Inc, this is a really reasonably priced polish at £2.99!
Also, you can currently get 2 for £5 on selected Barry M nail polish colours at Superdrug now!
What do you think of this polish?
Thankyou for reading,
XOXO

Boots No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick - Waterlily
Hello lovelies!
Hope you are all well!
This is a review of a Moisture Drench lipstick by Boots No7 in shade Waterlily. If you don't know by now, you will come to realise that i am a sucker for a really nice pink lippy and i think i always will be. I'm constantly on a quest to find my next gorgeous one.. and this one comes pretty close!
This lipstick was £9.50 in Boots and i bought it because i had a £3 off voucher!
And here is a swatch on my hand:
As you can see this is a lovely medium pink shade which has a lovely sheerness to it which can see in this picture. As it's a moisture drench lipstick it has a moisturising formulation which is claimed to nourish the lips. I don't know about you but i am feeling this because i've had some right old chapped lips lately thanks to the cold weather! The formula also contains SPF 15, which is a bonus!
So we all know i'm no Angelina Jolie on the lips front, but here is a swatch of Waterlily on my lips. When i read a blog and i'm looking for a swatch if i don't see it on the lips i'm always like "WHY??" I need to see what it looks like!
SO what do you think? I am loving this colour!
Thankyou for reading,
XOXO
The Concealer Revealer
Morning everyone, i hope you're all having a good Friday, it's almost the weekend yay!!
I think i have that Friday feeling today, i woke up feeling foot loose and fancy free! So basically i'm in a good mood ;)
This post is all about the concealers that i use pretty much every morning.. i have serious under eye bags and to be honest it does get me down, not loads but you know when someone says "Oh.. you look tired!" Well i get that constantly! But meh you know, 'whatever!'
As a result concealers really are a god send to me so i thought i would share some of my favourites with you.
1.
This is the select moisturecover concealer by MAC cosmetics in shade NC20 and is something i picked up from Manchester Airport Duty Free. To be honest, i loved this MAC store because it wasn't as busy as most of the other stores are!
I just guessed my shade as i didn't have a lot of time, but it is a match so all is good! I can't remember how much i personally paid, but this retails at £14.50 i believe. This concealer is really good for under eye bags and isn't toooo expensive either. I wouldn't say it is absolutely brilliant but for those who only require light coverage i can see why it might be a god send!
2.
This is the Clinique Airbrush concealer in shade 04 Neutral Fair which i have previously reviewed here. Do have a look if you enjoy photos of people looking
3.
This is the BareMinerals correcting concealer SPF 20 in shade Medium 2. This is what i would describe as 'war paint' and is my heavier kind of concealer which provides greater coverage for me. I was recommended this shade as the MUA said it is lovely under BareMinerals light foundation and she wasn't wrong. This concealer is described as covering all kinds of skin imperfections and also skin discolouration. This is a really good concealer but yet again with a steep price tag, £21 wowzers!
4.
This is the Boi-ing concealer by Benefit which i received as part of my Benefit 'How to Look the Best at Everything' set, which i reviewed previously here. This is currently my favourite concealer, because it is yet again what i would call 'war paint' as it gives really great concealer coverage and covers up all my bags. Not surprisingly it is dubbed as 'industrial strength' and i would have to agree with this statement! I like that within this one i can mix shades 01 and 02 to get the perfect shade, but as you only purchase them as singles i would (and will) purchase shade 02 when i run out. Boi-ing concealer is priced at £16.50, but i would pay that for this because it is really good!!
5.
This is the Bourjois Healthy Mix correcting concealer and is (in my opinion) one of the best concealers available in terms of the price tag and also the coverage! This is my second tube so i obviously think it is a really great product as it takes a lot for me to rebuy a product, normally i will just try something else. I wear Shade 52 Medium Radiance. This is one of my 'can't live without' concealers as it provides really full coverage, although i have heard some people find this concealer too yellow for their skin tone, i absolutely love it. This concealer is priced at £7.49 from Boots which i think is absolutely fab considering how good it is.. although i'm sure i paid £7.99 last time, hmm?
6.
This is the Garnier Tinted Eye Roll-On in shade Light, and is what i would kill my 'secret weapon' concealer as i find this product is somewhat of a hidden gem that is under-rated for whatever reason. I have bought this product multiple times and is one of my "If i was going to a desert island" items! It really is fab, when you roll this baby underneath your eyes in the AM not only does it provide a fab concealing effect but the cooling effect of the roller ball reduces the puffiness i experience underneath the eyes. It gives really great coverage too and i seriously couldn't live without this. This product is priced at £10.49 normally (again very reasonable really!) but i have currently seen this at half price in Tesco and also Sainsbury's! I never buy this from Boots the supermarkets normally sell this cheaper! However if you want the concealing effect and not just the cooling eye de-puffer thingy make sure you get the TINTED one!
So, basically i think what i have learnt from this post is that when it comes to concealers high end isn't best in my opinion, the high street offers just as good if not better (Benefit Boi-ing aside) for half the price! Obviously i haven't tried every concealer in the world so we can all beg to differ, this is just my personal experience.
Just incase anyone was actually wondering about my concealer regime, i will always go with the liquids first, the Clinique airbrush, the MAC, the Bourjois all over each other followed by the Creams, the Benefit and the Boi-ing, basically i may use all of these at once before foundation - hey did u see my no makeup pic? Because it's whatever it takes for me to get rid of those bags guys! :-)!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Have a fabulous Friday!
Lots of Love,
XOXO

Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb from LUSH
Hello gorgeous people!
How are you i hope you are all well. Sorry for my lack of post yesterday, i've had a seriously stressful week going on at Uni, a 3 hour exam yesterday (which was literally the scariest and hardest thing i've ever done in my life!) and also a presentation today, but it's now over and i don't have to give in my essay until a week today, yay!
Ok so this post is a review of the Dragon's Egg bath bomb by LUSH!
Ok so, this bath bomb is described by LUSH as being like an everlasting gobstopper revealing layer after layer of surprises. I have to agree with this description, as there was definitely more to the Dragon's Egg that i expected!
I literally thought it would just fizz and melt away in a few seconds, but nooo... this little baby whirred and fizzed around the bath in circles, slowly revealing some gorgeous red and yellow bits- not sure what they are but they do make your skin smooth :)
There is also a special surprise in the centre of the Dragon's Egg, which i won't spoil, but i will say i thoroughly enjoyed this bath bomb, however don't expect i to be a quick experience, you may aswell jump in with in whilst it's doing it's thing or your bath might get cold!
I do love bath bombs, but i only have a shower and no bath - very prehistoric, therefore having a bath with a bomb can be a pain if i need to wash my hair, and also if i want to do a mask due to all the bits in the bath. I also notice everytime i use a bath bomb there's always residue left in the bath, but it was glitter so that's nice :)
That aside, i do love a good bath bomb as a treat! I am not desperate to buy this again but it was fun. I want more moustache bubble bars!
Have a great Friday tomorrow lovelies, i'm literally going to do nothing because i've been so stressed, i think i am going to paint my nails and do face masks while watching trashy American TV programmes!
Hooray!
Lots of love and thanks for reading,
XOXO
