The Germany Post

Hello my lovely fellow beauty product lovers!

First off let me say i am so sorry it has been so long since my last post! :O! 
I tried so hard to blog from Germany but the internet really wasn't having it picturewise and it literally drove me nuts! So i have been in Germany since Friday and i got back at 2am this morning, decided to treat the boyfriend to an Xmas trip to Munich to see the christmas markets and i'm so glad i did, we had a super time! We stayed at the Eurostars Grand Central hotel in the area of Hackerbrucke which was conveniently located near the station and the centre of Munich was just a short ride away.

I literally ate my own weight in sausage, sauerkraut, apple strudel, chocolate, potato thingys and loads of other stuff, some pics are in the collage for My Week in Pictures #3 but here is a small selection :)

Look you can have champagne for breakfast! My kind of place!

Munich had some of the best department stores i have ever been in, designer galore! Shame i'm living a champagne lifestyle on a lambrini budget!

Hopefully one day i can afford Vuitton :)

As i said i ate everything under the sun..

This was some kind of fried potato thingy, below is fruit on a stick covered in chocolate, yum!

In the next few days i will show you the beauty hauls i got, yes hauls because i thought Paris was the place to go for beauty hauls but it seems Munich could be the gold standard, so many department stores with so many amazing products!

I like natural products too so i visited this store in the picture below which sold products made from Beeswax! I got a beeswax candle and also some hand cream!

I know this is only a small selection of pics but i just wanted to give you a taste of the trip! I've never been to Germany before but i had a really great time and can recommend going! The christmas markets were absolutely amazing and it was lovely to try traditional Bavarian food as well as things like apple strudel (yum) and different traditions! The people were so friendly and Marienplatz was really beautiful with the Xmas tree and all the traditional markets!

December Empties slash Things i can't live without!

Hey guys! Oh my god how cold is it outside??? It's bloody freezing!

Today i'm doing my first empties post, these are the products i have finished this month and let me just say i am so gutted about this as i actually love every product in this picture.

Ok so the products in the above picture are: 

1) Dove maximum protection cucumber & green tea anti-perspirant deodorant

Ever since this product came out i have fallen in love with it and this is my second one. At first when the buzz came out about this product i was like pffft i'm not spending a good fiver on deodorant when i can get a spray for a quid from the pound shop or whatever, however.. imo this is totally worth it. 

I love the smell and i think it lasts absolutely ages. Bizarrely they recommend putting this product on at night but as if you're going to be thinking about that at the end of a long day. This may sound ew but you can honestly go two days on this and still smell good if you forget to put deodorant on in the morning, as i often do as i swear i was a goldfish in a past life as i remember shit! 

2) Bourjois healthy mix correcting concealer 

This concealer is hands down one of the best concealers i have ever owned. If they discontinue it i will literally throw a shit fit! The coverage is awesome, i love it so much.

3) Touche Eclat by YSL 

When i first got this product i was a bit like, i literally don't know what this does or if it even does anything. But now it's a different story and i cannot live without it. I still don't quite know what it does, all i know is i love the whole packaging thing and the formula too, i am shade no2 and ive never known another product to match this, it definitely does something to make my under eye bags look better and my face brighter overall. It is actually magic! For £21.50 it's a bit steep but luckily the one i got for my mum hasn't been used and she is happy to give me hers so thank god for that.

4) They're Real! Mascara by Benefit 

Ok so like most things i use, when i first got this i thought the brush was a bit clunky and didn't fall in love straight away.. but now i love it. It does awesome things to my eyelashes and makes them longer and more Cheryl Cole like. £18.50 is steep but hopefully i can get this for Xmas off someone (hint hint) as i really need another one ASAP! I am literally so dried up.. sounds wrong.. but i refuse to give up and try something else.

5) Vanishing Cream facial moisturiser by Lush 

God i sound like a parrot, but at first i was like £17.50 for a moisturiser (and i thought lush were cheap), but this is actually the best moisturiser i have ever owned. I use this morning and night, pre makeup and post makeup removal and seriously, my skin has never been better. I used to be prone to little spots etc but nope... i am as bright as a .. button? Anyway i LOVE this moisturiser.

6) Cotton wool double faced round pads by Boots.

I ran out of cotton wool pads this morning! Gah!!! So annoyed as these cotton wool pads are such an integral part of my makeup routine! I have made a pact to myself not to use facial wipes to remove makeup because to be honest, i don't know what the hell im putting on my face and sometimes i get reactions to certain wipes etc. So anyway you could still say i don't know what i'm putting on my face but i now use a comforting cleansing lotion by Garnier to remove makeup and cleanse the skin!

I will be re-buying all of these products but hopefully as it's Christmas maybe i won't have to.. this post is kind of an empties slash things i can't live without post!

MUA Lip Boom - Cheeky

I got that boom boom...

I picked up Lip Boom by MUA today from Superdrug, i thought it looked awesome for £3! Bargain. I got a pink shade called Cheeky.

As you can see it's Alexandra Burke! Haven't seen her in a while.. it says on the product that Lip Boom was created with AB by MUA, interesting.

So the product suggests it can be worn four ways; 1) lipstick alone for a matte look, 2) lipstick with highlighter applied just to the centre of the lips 3) lipstick with highlighter all over for a super glossy look 4) highlighter alone for a sheer pearl finish.

So below i'm going to show my lips (lucky you) with just the lipstick on!

 

You'll have to excuse the nostril shot and the face, i have just removed my makeup and as you can see i'm paying for it.. spots spots spots

As you can see this is my lips with the gloss on top. 

OK so my overall opinion of this product is that you can't really go wrong for £3, but i'm not sure if i got the lip BOOM i was expecting, if you get me. The colour is nice but i find it quite understated as i was expecting quite a vibrant shocking pink rather than a kind of dull pink. 

I do think it is a nice product though and i like the idea. There were some other colours available such as a red and a berry shade so i would definitely like to try those. Also, both the lipstick and the gloss smell amazing, like candy floss! It's absolutely gorgeous.

Essie Bahama Mama

Hey guys,

Tonight i decided to give myself a little treat on the nail front, in the form of a new polish i picked up the other day, 'Bahama Mama' by Essie.

L-R Kensington Caviar top coat, Bahama Mama, Kensington Caviar base coat

I used my old trusty favourites before and after polish, base and top coat by Nails inc. Got to do the nail prep after all!!

So i did base coat, 2 x polish then top coat and as you can see in the pic this polish is a lovely deep plummy slash berry red, perfect for crimbo!

I'm loving this polish! £7.99 at Boots.

Having a bad day get outta my way..

Hey guys, Mondays are traditionally sucky i know but mine was super sucky. Recently took an xmas temp job for 8 hours a week and like i thought, it's really not enough hours. On top of that, i'm not being trained on anything as all the staff say they're too busy, which results in me spending ages doing unexciting things like shuffling clothes on racks and getting help for customers who want the help with things i can't do... extremely dysfunctional why not just train me then we will all be happy.... arghhhh..

At least i had a better Monday than this guy:

How was your Monday? The best thing about Monday is it's not Monday tomorrow, awesome.
